Food safety covers more than just temperatures, food storage and washing your hands.  It can go way beyond simply food.  It can go way beyond the kitchen.  That is where The ServSafe Alcohol Advantage comes in.

    What is Alcohol Training?

    • It is learning how to safely serve your customers.

Alcohol training teaches you what to look for when it comes to the safety of your customers.  Being able to judge BAC, read a BAC chart, count drinks and more.  This course provides you with the tools and knowledge necessary for serving your customers safely.

    • It is learning what YOUR responsibility is.

There are many different rules and laws regarding the responsibility of the person serving the alcohol.  You are not simply there to assist your customers in having a good time.  A lot of responsibility falls on YOU, especially if they leave the establishment intoxicated.  This course teaches you what you may or may not be held responsible for, how to avoid being held liable, and how to judge when someone has been served enough.

    • It is learning how to handle potentially dangerous situations.

As someone who is serving alcohol, you are more than likely to witness some strange interactions and scenarios.  This course teaches you what to look for and how to handle potentially dangerous situations such as driving intoxicated, physical altercations, and inappropriate behaviors.
